MS promise "new era of entertainment"
Dashboard update looms
The New Xbox Experience launches tomorrow, Microsoft telling the world on the eve of this downloadable debut that a new "era of entertainment" is in the offing; this is the launch of the colour TV all over again, apparently.
"The future of home entertainment is Xbox 360 – it’s on demand, it’s high definition, it’s always social, it’s all in one place," enthused Xbox boss Don Mattrick.
"With the New Xbox Experience we will reach the next generation of Xbox owners, 25 million and beyond. We are at a watershed moment, backed by the largest entertainment brands, with an incredible line up of entertainment unmatched in any industry."
The launch will include new user avatars, party functionality, more content and a new iTunes-esque way of browsing. This is just the start, too, we're assured.

The things I am looking forward to the most are the Party Chat modes and the installing of games to the hard drive.
